Ramblers Medal Routes
What? Developed with and designed by Papertank, the Ramblers Medal Routes app encourages users to keep active by motivating them with points based on the official and user-contributed walks they complete, with Facebook integration, leaderboards and a trophy tally as some of the main features.
How? The app was built in native Objective-C and uses CoreLocation with GPS tracking, Ordnance Survey’s Open Space mapping SDK and custom UI animations and blurs. It connects with an API built by Papertank. The Android version of the app was built by Fergus Howe.
